Job Title: Personal Injury ParalegalSalary Range: £25,000 to£30,000 per annumLocation: Sheffield City Centre Contract: Full Time, PermanentRole Overview & Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of personal injury matters under supervision, including Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), Employer's Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), and Occupiers' Liability (OL) claims, with occasional exposure to Clinical Negligence
  • Assist in progressing claims through the MOJ Portal (Stages 1-3) and transitioning appropriate cases to Part 7 litigation
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence, including Claim Forms, Particulars of Claim, Defences, witness statements, and Part 36 offers
  • Support with preparing court bundles, applications, and disclosure lists
  • Liaise with clients, medical experts, third-party insurers, and counsel to obtain evidence and progress claims efficiently
  • Conduct legal research and assist with assessing liability and quantum
  • Maintain accurate records on the case management system, ensuring all deadlines and court dates are diarised and met
  • Assist in settlement negotiations and support fee earners in preparing for hearings and trials
  • Ensure compliance with pre-action protocols, court rules (CPR), and internal procedures
  • Provide administrative support where needed, including file opening/closing and ensuring proper case documentation
  • Work collaboratively within a team, sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues as required
