About the Role

As a Science Technician, you will work within school science departments to support the teaching and learning of science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, setting up, and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials

  • Ensuring health & safety protocols are followed at all times

  • Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments

  • Maintaining stock and ordering supplies when necessary

  • Cleaning and safely storing equipment after use

Requirements

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician in UK schools or laboratories

  • A solid understanding of COSHH regulations and lab health & safety

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Flexibility and willingness to work across different schools when needed
