Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school based in Sheffield (S6). This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to a student with additional needs, helping them engage with learning and thrive in the classroom.
As a 1:1 TA, you’ll assist with day-to-day learning activities, encourage participation, and help the pupil achieve their individual goals in a structured and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one support tailored to the individual needs of the student.
- Assist with classroom activities, adapting learning materials where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and help manage emotional and social development.
- Support the student’s personal care needs where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children with additional needs, ideally in a 1:1 or small group setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach to supporting learners.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and SEND.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
