HOSE ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR

Andy File Associates Limited are working as a recruitment agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent vacancy.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 6am – 2.30pm Monday to Friday and 1 – 10pm Monday to Thursday and 12 – 6.30pm on a Friday.

Salary: competitive, extra 20% bonus for the afternoon shift

Objective

To ensure hose assembly orders are completed in accordance with customer requirements, to agreed timescales with all procedures and processes strictly adhere to.  

Tasks

  • Supervise a team of hose technicians.
  • Delegate orders to the team, ensuring on-time completion.
  • Daily checks of hose machinery in accordance with H&S regulations.
  • Ensure all H&S procedures are adhered to.
  • SOP Audits and regular spot checking of all processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring final checks done before despatch, and that first off processes are adhered to.
  • Assembly of hoses to customer specifications using a range of machinery including cutters, swagers, skivers and lifting equipment.
  • Regular communication with the internal sales teams as well as the customer.
  • Responsibility for quality of the material/components during handling and for maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Driving continuous improvement activities and CIP boards.
  • Encourage the team to bring forward training requirements.
  • Encourage the team to bring forward continuous improvement ideas via the C.I.P. board system.              

Education   

  • GCSE Minimum.    

Vocational Training         

  • Product knowledge.
  • Leadership/Management Training.                   

                             

Experience 

  • Proven experience in the hose assembly industry.               

Additional Knowledge    

  • Knowledge of hose assembly process.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge.
