Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various fitting techniques. This role involves assembling and fabricating components using hand and power tools, as well as performing welding tasks. A solid understanding of basic maths is essential for precise measurements and calculations. Ideally ability to read CAD/Solid Works drawings.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and fabricate components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load testing and testing mechanical handling equipment
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Checking incoming goods and completing inspection paperwork.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations.
- Hold a valid FLT license would be an advantage, although not essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is an advantage.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to assemble components accurately based on technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Great hours of work, Monday - Friday between 7am - 3pm, and an early finish on a Friday of 12.30pm. (37.5 hrs per week)
