We are proud to represent a well-established and respected technical support team based in Sheffield, currently looking to welcome a technically minded and customer-focused individual to their growing department.This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a background or interest in construction, building materials, or engineering to make a real impact, providing design advice and technical support on a range of projects across the UK and Ireland.You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal colleagues, offering detailed guidance on the practical and accurate use of masonry products and accessories. Your contribution will be vital to the success of each project and will help ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
  • Experience in a technical, construction, or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grades AC
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised, with strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with confidence to work independently when needed
  • Commercial awareness and a professional, customer-focused approach
KEY RESPONISBILITIES
  • Offer technical guidance on the use of masonry products
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to develop effective design proposals
  • Liaise with specifiers, contractors, and merchants to clarify requirements
  • Provide the commercial team with technical input to support quotations
  • Promote value-added customer service, not direct sales
  • Identify opportunities for product improvement based on customer feedback
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Full training on design tools and products will be provided
