About the Role
As an Aerospace Painter, you will be instrumental in the preparation and painting of diverse aerospace parts, ensuring every component meets our rigorous quality standards and adheres strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to our commitment to excellence in every task.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations: Execute abrasive, vapour, and grit blasting, and perform coating in line with Quality documents (PQP) and route cards, including spraying.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold internal and external quality standards (NADCAP and AS9100), ensuring structural integrity and meticulous quality control.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documented records and job cards for all work performed, including issues encountered and non-conformances.
- Safety: Strictly follow all safety protocols and guidelines, utilizing appropriate PPE and maintaining a hazard-free workspace.
- Delivery: Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established work routines to achieve required output and meet production targets.
- Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Maintenance:Regularly maintain and clean equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality and prevent malfunctions.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Apprenticeship-trained, relevant qualifications in this discipline, or significant industry experience.
- A demonstrated successful practical track record in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading and meticulously following written instructions, including SOPs, technique sheets, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical drawings.
- Proven experience in meeting and working towards production targets.
