Town Planner
Location: Sheffield or Leeds

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading independent planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their growing team in either their Leeds or Sheffield office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of projects across the residential, commercial, leisure, and mixed-use sectors - both urban and rural - with one of the region's most respected planning consultancies.



The Role:

As a Town Planner, you will assist in managing client projects from initial site appraisals through to application and appeal stages. You will work alongside a talented team of planning professionals and play an active role in preparing planning statements, co-ordinating applications, and liaising with clients and local authorities.



What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Town Planning or related subject

  • At least 12 months' experience within planning (private or public sector)

  • Working towards or recently achieved RTPI accreditation

  • Strong report writing, communication, and organisational skills

  • Knowledge of the planning system and development management process

  • A proactive attitude and desire to progress in consultancy
