Real Estate Solicitor – Sheffield

This Legal500 National Law firm is seeking a Real Estate Solicitor to join its Northern Real Estate Transactions team, which operates across the Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield offices.

This award-winning team handles a wide range of complex and high-value work, including:

  • Development and investment transactions
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Portfolio management
  • Real estate finance

You will manage your own caseload from the outset, working closely with established clients on a mix of commercial property matters – from site acquisitions and disposals to development and funding projects.

Recent Work Highlights:

The team has been involved in a wide range of significant real estate transactions and development projects, including:

  • Acting for a national housebuilder on multiple residential site acquisitions across the North of England, including a large-scale scheme of over 900 homes and the subsequent disposal of plots to a private rental sector provider
  • Advising a developer on the strategic acquisition of a mixed-ownership site in West Yorkshire, with plans to deliver over 260 new homes and associated disposals to institutional and registered housing providers
  • Representing an international investor in the acquisition, funding and eventual sale of purpose-built student accommodation assets across the UK
  • Advising on the acquisition and long-term regeneration of a 200-acre former industrial site, one of the largest brownfield redevelopment projects in the country
  • Supporting the acquisition and redevelopment of a landmark former manufacturing site in Yorkshire, transforming it into a mixed-use scheme with heritage considerations
  • Acting on the acquisition, development and forward funding of logistics and industrial space totalling over 1.4 million sq ft, with further development of 2.5 million sq ft underway or pre-contracted
  • Advising developers on partnership, development and joint venture arrangements with landowners from both the public and private sectors, including local authorities and educational institutions

Candidate Profile:

The firm is looking for a driven and collaborative solicitor with a passion for real estate.

You will have:

  • Up to 5 years’ PQE, with strong technical expertise in commercial property matters – particularly development transactions
  • Proven experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • A team-focused approach and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative environment
