Manual Machinist

We are currently seeking skilled Manual Machinists to join our team. While time-served machinists are preferred, this is not essential. You will be responsible for machining centrifugally spun castings in a variety of stainless steel alloys,



Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine large castings to engineering drawings and specified tolerances

  • Operate a range of manual machines, including lathes and vertical borers

  • Deliver work within production time frames

  • Conduct visual inspections of machined components

  • Accurately mark swarf drums for alloy identification

  • Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision

  • Maintain high safety standards in accordance with company policies



Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' machining experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings

  • Confident working to tight tolerances and using precision measuring tools

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated and able to contribute effectively to team operations

  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required

  • Solid understanding of health & safety, environmental, and quality standards

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
