As the firm continues to experience growth-particularly within its Residential Conveyancing department-they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated conveyancing professional to join their high-performing team. About the Role:The successful candidate will take on a varied and rewarding caseload of residential property matters from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing a full range of transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, re-mortgages, and new build properties. This is a client-facing role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, offering clear and timely communication through phone, email, SMS, and post.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including estate agents, mortgage lenders, landlords, and other solicitors.
  • Managing all aspects of client onboarding, including verification of ID and proof of funding.
  • Drafting and preparing legal documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, mortgage deeds, and completion statements.
  • Taking clear and accurate instructions from clients and providing legal advice throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Reviewing survey reports and advising clients on any legal implications or issues raised.
  • Preparing reports on title and managing the submission of relevant searches.
  • Coordinating exchange and completion dates with all parties involved in the transaction.
  • Carrying out thorough file checks at the beginning and conclusion of each matter to ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with solicitors and fee earners to gain final approvals and facilitate smooth transaction closures.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on case management systems.
  • Handling post-completion duties, including the registration of titles and submission of SDLT forms where required.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience handling residential conveyancing files (qualified solicitors, legal executives, licensed conveyancers, or experienced paralegals welcome to apply).
  • Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process, relevant legislation, and SRA compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Confident in using case management systems and legal software packages.
