Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer (FTC) to join a global engineering business operating in the highly regulated and advanced manufacturing sectors. This is a confidential opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, high-performance environment where continuous improvement and technical innovation are at the core.As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will:• Develop and continuously improve manufacturing methods to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.• Provide technical input and hands-on support to resolve shopfloor production issues.• Support new product introductions (NPI) and industrialisation projects from concept through to implementation.• Create and maintain controlled documents, including BOMs, routings, SOPs, and technique sheets.• Lead or contribute to cost reduction, process improvement, and margin enhancement projects.• Oversee tooling and fixture design, supplier engagement, trials, and implementation.• Utilise problem-solving tools such as RCA, 8D, and PFMEA to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.• Support capital investment projects, including business case creation, ROI justification, and project execution.• Engage cross-functionally with quality, planning, operations, and commercial teams to meet customer requirements.• Contribute to the identification and adoption of new technologies for process competitiveness.• Conduct H&S risk assessments and contribute to investigations when required.To be considered for the Manufacturing Engineer role, you will need:• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering environment (aerospace, automotive, heavy industry, etc.).• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.• Experience in two or more areas of production such as CNC machining, fabrication, sheet metal, welding, EDM, or heat treatment.• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including a strong understanding of GD&T.• Knowledge of engineering change control, risk management, and technical documentation.• Strong experience using problem-solving tools (PFMEA, 5 Whys, 8D, etc.).• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.• Aerospace manufacturing experience and familiarity with lean/Six Sigma methodologies would be advantageous.This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to play a key role in technical problem-solving, process development, and driving manufacturing performance in a high-precision environment.For a confidential discussion, please get in touch.
