Title: Production ManagerLocation: Sheffield Salary: up to £48000Elevation Recruitment Group are thrilled to be partnering with a manufacturing client in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a Production Manager, to oversee their fabrication department within their complex, regulated manufacturing operation. The Production Manager will work alongside the Heads of Operations to facilitate the smooth manufacturing of products to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) plan, whilst overseeing a team of Operatives and Team Leaders. Key duties of the Production Manager will include:
- Ensure on-time delivery by managing production flow and coordinating with planners and stores
- Maintain live production boards, lead daily meetings, and ensure alignment with the MPS plan
- Support stock management, manage non-conforming parts, and drive quality and team development
- Support the Operations Managers in managing a team of Operatives, Machinists, Welders, Testing and Inspection teams
Key Skills & Experience required:
- Knowledge of lean principles (5S) and experience in manufacturing environments
- Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication abilities with the confidence to make decisions and coordinate others effectively
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working towards production targets and deadlines
- Previous management experience within a manufacturing environment
