Site Manager / Technical Compliance Manager - Fire Stopping
Location: Midlands / South
Salary: Up to 46,000 + Paid Travel Time (estimated at 15%) + Company Van or Car Allowance (6,600 per annum)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of passive fire protection services, for an experienced Site Manager / Technical Compliance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering critical life-safety works across a variety of occupied premises in the public and private sectors.



About the Client:

Our client is a specialist in passive fire protection, supporting complex projects across housing, education, healthcare, and secure environments. Their services include fire compartmentation, fire door inspections, fire stopping installations, and ongoing compliance works. The Role:

This site-based position involves managing three teams of two Fire Stoppers, ensuring the safe and compliant delivery of fire stopping works across multiple project sites. Typical environments include:

  • Social housing

  • Educational facilities (schools, colleges, universities)

  • Healthcare buildings

  • Office and public sector properties

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily supervision and coordination of fire stopping works on site

  • Planning resource and materials availability in advance

  • Conducting regular quality inspections, including some destructive testing

  • Maintaining clear and accurate site records in line with project specifications

  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues

  • Ensuring that works are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with compliance standards



Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within fire protection or passive fire safety

  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Strong understanding of health and safety and regulatory compliance

  • A hands-on, proactive approach to site and team management

This role is ideally suited to technically capable professionals with experience delivering fire protection works in live, occupied environments, who also understand the commercial and compliance demands of the sector.
