Join our Higher Trades team in a vital role as a Community Technician/Heating Engineer. This position offers the opportunity to provide a professional, efficient, and cost-effective repairs and maintenance service, meeting high quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Carry out specific trade work as instructed across a range of projects and responsive work.
  • Assess, plan, and organise workload and equipment to maximise productivity and maintain a customer-focused service.
  • Handle urgent and emergency repairs, ensuring all appointments and performance targets are met.
  • Undertake multi-trade activities as required, completing all work to an excellent standard in a single visit.
  • Engage in electrical or gas installation, lift installation, or other works as required for new build properties and future service development.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory processes related to your trade, issuing necessary certifications and documents.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by confirming the quality of work on-site and effectively responding to customer enquiries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of relevant trade regulations and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in multiple trades with a core specialism in one of the following: Electrical, Gas, Plumbing, or Lift Engineering.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
  • Relevant trade qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in a related discipline.
  • Competence in using information technology systems and devices to manage work efficiently.
