Structural Design Engineer

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield.

Immediate start available(Subject to the interview process)

Salary is 35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

This position offers an excellent opportunity to progress within the business being able to develop and help grow the business and lease with clients onsite face to face as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with site teams to develop effective construction sequences and identify requirements for temporary and permanent structures.
• Design steel connections as part of project requirements as well as one of fabricated products such as soft systems, fixing and fastenings and restraints as well as one of fabricated bespoke items.
• Create detailed drawings and product specifications.
• Review and rationalise client engineer designs, negotiating necessary changes with the client engineer.
• Designing products for the power generation, construction & Civils support sectors.
• Leasing with Clients to review product orders, specifications, calculations

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural design Engineer.
• Proficient with Auto-cad Solid Works
• Experience in designing temporary works is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with designing steel connections and support systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in design using various material types..
