We are recruiting Cover Supervisors in Sheffield to support local secondary schools with daily cover and short-term assignments. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates, trainee teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking for flexible work in education.
What is a Cover Supervisor?
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent. Your role will include:

Supervising secondary students (ages 11–16) in the absence of the regular teacher

Delivering pre-set work and managing the classroom

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

Feeding back to staff on pupil performance and behaviour

What You Need to Apply:

Previous experience working with children or young people (education, coaching, tutoring, youth work etc.)

Good communication and classroom management skills

A confident, proactive approach

UK classroom experience is a bonus, but not required

You must have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
