Production Supervisor

Urgent Hire – Production Supervisor Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Salary: £30,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm Overtime: Available at time and a half Start Date: Immediate

Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in Sheffield for a Production Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a supportive and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities:

• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve production efficiency

• Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets

• Supervise production staff and escalate issues to the Operations Manager

• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimise downtime

• Ensure quality, budget, and delivery standards are consistently met

• Train and support team members to enhance performance

• Maintain accurate production records and report progress

• Identify and implement process improvements

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance

• Collaborate across departments to maintain smooth workflow

• Manage stock levels, tools, and equipment

• Update the manufacturing planner and lead daily production meetings

• Record and analyse production data to monitor performance

• Calculate coating and painting costs and support purchasing

• Assist with HR tasks including inductions, interviews, and attendance

• Support factory supervisors and team leaders to maintain production flow

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory role

• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous

• Positive, proactive attitude with strong leadership skills
