Projects Manager – Door Industry
Location: Sheffield (Office-Based)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
About the Business
A well-established and growing manufacturer and supplier of timber performance doors is seeking an experienced Projects Manager to join their team.
As a Projects Manager, you will play a key role within the RMU division, managing projects from tender through to manufacture and delivery. You’ll handle the pricing, coordination, and technical management of projects involving doorsets, ironmongery, and associated products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage tenders for doorsets, ironmongery, and related products
- Accurately record and track tender activity using the company’s CRM system
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and follow-up
- Review technical and compliance documentation to ensure performance standards are met
- Ensure all customer orders align with approved quotations and project specifications
- Manage post-order technical queries through planning, scheduling, and procurement stages
- Oversee the project lifecycle to ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved
- Provide technical and commercial support for allocated projects and general client enquiries
Experience & Knowledge Required
- Proven experience in estimating and project management within the door, construction, or manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of doors, ironmongery, and related products
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience working with main contractors, trade contractors, or architects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); CAD experience beneficial
