Title: Procurement OfficerLocation: Sheffield (Hybrid Working)Salary: up to £33,000Elevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are working with growing not-for-profit headquartered in Sheffield as they look to recruit two Procurement Officers. If you’re ambitious and want progression within a growing business and have experience within the Public Sector, this is a great opportunity to make an impact. The Procurement Officer will work closely with the Commercial Manager to oversee the organisation's tendering and framework processes. This opportunity offers development, progression, and a supportive work environment as well as:

Key duties of the Procurement Officer will include: 

  • Provide expert support and guidance on contract management and procurement within the organisation’s finance systems.
  • Lead the negotiation and development of complex or high-risk contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to align commercial strategies with business objectives and project timelines.
  • Advise on all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, including contract creation, compliance, risk management, and supplier selection.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform procurement strategy and commercial decision-making.
  • Act as a commercial subject matter expert, promoting value-driven outcomes for customers and end users.
  • Use data insights to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Support supplier relationship management and enhance contract performance through coaching, monitoring KPIs, and addressing underperformance.

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience in a similar role (Public Sector)
  • Experienced in drafting, interpreting, and negotiating complex procurement contracts.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to present clear, actionable reports.
  • Effective communicator with a track record of influencing and challenging stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently or in small teams, managing tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Committed to inclusive practices and building value-driven supplier relationships.
