We are working with a reputable and growing privately owned contractor to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a salary position in Sheffield, South Yorkshire area. The successful candidate will be working on a variety of projects with public sector and private sector clients

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycles.
- Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
- Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Construction related qualification
- Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative when necessary.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
