Senior Quantity Surveyor – Permanent RoleLocation: Sheffield (Hybrid/Flexible working available)Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading provider of specialist structural services on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting infrastructure projects within a collaborative and dynamic commercial team, with long-term career progression and development.

Key Responsibilities:As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and negotiating NEC 3 & NEC 4 contracts.
  • Drafting and issuing short form contracts to the supply chain.
  • Providing accurate project rates to support tenders and live works.
  • Negotiating and verifying Compensation Events with clients and sub-contractors alongside Project Managers.
  • Raising and reviewing invoices, assisted by the Finance team.
  • Preparing and submitting applications for payment to clients.
  • Following up on contract agreements and resolving outstanding issues.
  • Reviewing CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Ensuring accurate revenue recognition and allocation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
  • Proficiency with accounting and project management platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation, commercial, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, as well as independently.
