Role Overview:

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages. Your role will focus on helping students understand significant historical events, evaluate sources, and draw connections between the past and present.

Responsibilities as a History Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver well-structured, curriculum-aligned lessons in History.
  • Inspire curiosity and independent thought through engaging content and discussion.
  • Assess pupil progress, provide feedback, and support academic achievement.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.

Requirements for the History Teacher role:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in History or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching History in a UK school setting.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inspiring young minds and promoting historical understanding.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
