Are you a passionate and driven Maths Teacher looking to make a real difference?

GSL Education are recruiting a committed Maths Teacher for a secondary school based in Sheffield. This full-time opportunity is set to begin in September 2025 and comes with the potential to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, covering the national curriculum for Maths. Your ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and interesting will help students develop the problem-solving skills they need for both academic success and life beyond the classroom.

Mathematics Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage, challenge, and support students of varying abilities
  • Teach across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, with a focus on GCSE exam preparation
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, identifying those who need targeted intervention
  • Plan lessons in line with curriculum objectives and school-wide strategies
  • Encourage a love for Maths through engaging activities and real-world applications
  • Maintain an inclusive and orderly classroom environment
  • Contribute to department planning and share best practices with colleagues
  • Support students with additional educational needs or barriers to learning
  • Take part in school events, parents' evenings, and CPD sessions
  • Uphold strong safeguarding and behaviour management practices

Teacher of Maths Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Previous experience teaching Mathematics at KS3, KS4 and KS5 in a UK secondary school
  • Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching
  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to the academic and personal development of students
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
