Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement 

Working hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 - 16:00, term time only

Unique School Solutions are supporting a through school in the S2 area of Sheffield to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The role will involve delivering pre-planned English, Maths and Science lessons to students across Key Stages 2-4, many of whom have Special Educational Needs and struggle to manage their emotions and behaviours. The job is to start ASAP and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks.

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs or behavioural difficulties
  • Experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit or Young Offenders Institute beneficial
  • Previous experience of leading classes and delivering pre-planned schemes of work
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • The ability to build rapport with young learners
