The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Service Manager to lead a Fire & Security Systems team. This is a key leadership position responsible for managing a team of engineers, ensuring service delivery excellence, compliance with industry standards, and driving operational efficiency. The role will predominantly be office based with occasional client/ site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support a team of fire and security engineers across Yorkshire
- Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, installations, and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NSI, BAFE, and BS EN regulations
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and mentoring of engineering staff
- Liaise with internal departments to coordinate schedules, stock, and resource planning
- Implement and monitor KPIs to ensure service targets are met or exceeded
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure health & safety compliance on all projects
About You
- Proven experience in a senior engineering or service manager role within the fire and security industry
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and integrated systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. FIA, ECS, or equivalent)
