REGISTERED MANAGER - RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE

Who We Are

We are seeking a dedicated and caring manager to join our team.

We are a single occupancy service, seeking to support one child.

We provide specialist residential care for young people who face complex challenges. Our home offers a therapeutic environment where children can rebuild trust, develop resilience, and achieve their potential. We believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, understood and loved, regardless of their past experiences. We offer a single occupancy home environment and a child centered approach, where individually tailored programs of support are delivered to meet the needs of our young person.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a leader within the home to support our Therapeutic Carers. As a Registered Manager, you will be an integral part of the Management Team. This role is perfect for someone with experience as a Manager, Deputy or similar role in children's homes and who is looking to take the next step in their career. We are seeking a caring and nurturing individual who is resilient, patient and committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for the children in our care. The role may present challenges, but it is also an opportunity for personal and professional growth. As part of a growing organisation there will be opportunities for gaining additional qualifications.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of childcare professionals
  • Maintain Ofsted compliance and drive quality standards
  • Oversee personalised care planning and implementation
  • Manage resources and home operations effectively
  • Foster positive relationships with external professionals
  • Support staff development through supervision and training
  • Implement robust safeguarding procedures
  • Create a nurturing and structured home environment
  • On call and some weekends availability
  • Pay review after 6 month probation and proof of Ofsted ability

What You'll Bring

  • Level 5 Qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
  • Substantial experience in children's residential settings
  • Evidence of 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted Inspections
  • Thorough knowledge of childcare legislation and best practice
  • Proven ability to lead teams through challenges
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (essential)
