Are you a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated professionals to support primary-aged children with a range of special educational needs across Sheffield as an SEN Teaching Assistant.

The Role:

We're working closely with a number of inclusive and supportive primary schools in the Sheffield area who are in urgent need of specialist SEN Teaching Assistants. These roles involve working 1:1 or with small groups of children with additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school or alternative provision setting.
  • Team Teach certification (essential) - confident in managing behaviour with a calm, positive approach.
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing attitude.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through us).
