Teaching Assistant - S2 Sheffield

Part-Time (2 days per week)
Start Date: Immediate - June 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: 90-110 per day (depending on experience)

Career Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis with SEN needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children who can present challenging behaviour and who is passionate about making a positive impact.



Job Description

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support for a pupil in Year 4. The role involves helping the child access learning, manage behaviour, and develop social and emotional skills in a safe and structured environment.



Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the pupil can engage with learning tasks.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
  • Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.
  • Promote inclusion and independence within the classroom setting.


Requirements
