We are currently in a close partnership with a leading Mainstream school who are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant. 

Role: Your role will consist of supporting special needs in a mixed year 1/year 2 class. 

Requirements: You need to be available long-term, full time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. Must have SEN experience either professionally or personally. 

Location: The school is based in Sheffield, it's a 3-form entry school which was rated ‘GOOD’ in it’s most recent OFSTED.

The successful candidate would benefit from extremely modern facilities as the school was built recently.

A SEND Teaching & Support Assistant will

• Build and maintain successful relationships with young people.

• Support a named pupil or a group of students in traditional and non-traditional learning environments

• Offer a supportive approach in a role-modelling/mentoring capacity

• Assist learners with their physical, personal care or medical needs promoting independence

• Implement specific educational programmes for young people.

• Deliver activities to small groups of identified young people.

• Record observations on young people's behaviour and progress

• Experience of behaviour that challenges
