We are looking for Special Needs Teaching Assistants Primary to join our caring, committed team of supply staff here at Academics. This is more than just a job. About the Role: To support class teacher, promoting students independence & wellbeing. No two days are the same. From helping with daily routines & personal care to encouraging social engagement & supporting activities, you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of the people we support.

Key Responsibilities: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant Primary

  • Provide tailored support based on individual needs & EHCP.
  • Encourage & participate in meaningful activities, both in the home & the community
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with local Primary clients of Academics
  • Maintain accurate records & communicate effectively with the team

About You: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant Primary

  • Kind, patient, & understanding. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in working with individuals with Autism
  • Experience in working with children and in a school environment is needed.
  • Preferably Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Cache Level 3 qualification to be held.
  • Enhanced DBS needed (or willingness to put one in place)
