Pay Rate: 31.00 per hour (Umbrella) | 27.61 per hour (PAYE, including holiday pay)
Shift Pattern: Nights Only
We are urgently seeking experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) or Social Workers to join the Liaison Psychiatry team in Sheffield on a 4-month agency contract.
This role will primarily involve night shift cover, providing specialist mental health assessments and interventions within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry service.
- Provide rapid risk assessments and formulate management plans for individuals presenting with acute mental health needs.
- Offer short-term therapeutic interventions and signposting to appropriate services.
- Work collaboratively with A&E, medical wards, and crisis teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records in line with NHS standards.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and escalate concerns as necessary.
- Contribute to handover and multidisciplinary team discussions during night shifts.
- Immediate availability to start
- Experience in Liaison Psychiatry essential
- Flexibility to work night shifts (Mon-Sun)
- Current NMC/HCPC registration
