I am recruiting for an experienced Operations Executive/Clerk for a repeat client in the Shepperton area. My client specialises in international freight forwarding and is looking to grow their team. The successful candidate will have multi-modal freight forwarding experience and will be ready to hit the ground running in this fast-paced environment! This is an office-based, Monday-Friday role, working from 9am-5:30pm.
Main Duties:
- Arrange and oversee export, import, and UK domestic operations from start to finish, whether by air, sea or road.
- Investigate and plan the most appropriate routes for shipments.
- Complete international shipping and customs documentation.
- Handle costing and billing for both import and export jobs.
- Ensure compliance with international regulations.
- Collaborate closely with customers, colleagues, and third parties to ensure deadlines are met.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' multi-modal experience with a freight forwarder (air, road and sea)
- Strong import/export experience
- Customs clearance/CDS knowledge
- Experience using CargoWise
- Computer literate (MS Office, emails, CRM)
- Ready to hit the ground running and dive right in to a busy freight desk
