We are looking for a dedicated, motivated, and experienced Manager to join our team and help guide our coffee shop to continued success.
As a Manager, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the high standards of quality our customers expect. You will work closely with the owner to drive the business forward while supporting and mentoring baristas and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the team, providing training and ongoing support to staff
- Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times, addressing customer enquiries and resolving issues
- Oversee the preparation of beverages and food items to maintain consistent quality and presentation
- Maintain inventory levels, place orders, and ensure product stock is managed appropriately
- Monitor employee performance, conduct regular feedback sessions, and help with performance appraisals
- Handle cash register, process transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and daily reporting
- Always ensure adherence to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a coffee shop or café environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, equipment, and espresso-based drinks
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory management and cash handling processes
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Planning rotas, training staff, keeping kitchen records and allergen control.
