You will be working for a housing association supporting the refit team.
Your new role
You will be completing the decorating and painting work after the team have fitted a new kitchen or bathroom in a property.
Type of work you will be doing include:-
- Remove and refit fixtures and fittings
- Make good tiling
- General Preparation work, filling
- Wallpapering
- General Painting
- Glosswork/Staining
The base is located Evercreech Junction Industrial Estate, BA4 6NA where you will collect your van and materials. You will be covering the Somerset region.
You will need a full driving license.
Working hours are 8-4.30 pm.
What you'll need to succeed
- Painting & Decorating Qualification NVQ or equivalent or demonstrate previous significant experience in painting & decorating.
- Ability to work within manufacturer's requirements and Industry British Standards.
- Ability to diagnose and undertake repair work to domestic properties, including specifying the materials required and the ability to undertake work in accordance with training and good industry practice.
- Competent in the use of smartphone technology and PDAs, including the ability to send and receive email, calendar appointments, documents, photographs and for work scheduling purposes.
- Full driving license
