Role Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to keep our production machinery running at peak performance across multiple manufacturing sites. This is a hands-on, problem-solving role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, and takes pride in ensuring production lines operate efficiently and safely.
What You’ll Do:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults on production equipment, process plant machinery, and associated systems.

Perform general mechanical and electrical maintenance across all sites.

Work on basic PLC systems, inverters, servo drives, motors, pumps, gearboxes, heating elements, sensors, and other complex components.

Maintain and repair conveyor systems, including belts, motors, bearings, shafts, and tensioners.

Service high-speed packaging and filling machines, pasteurisers, inkjet printers, boxing machines, and inspection equipment.

Conduct preventative maintenance to identify and resolve issues before they impact production.

Accurately document interventions, faults, and breakdowns in line with maintenance procedures.

Update and maintain pre-planned maintenance (PPM) systems, ensuring records meet company standards.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to drive overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and production performance.
Who You’ll Work With:

Internal: Production and process operatives, shift leads, shift managers, head of manufacturing, and engineering managers.

External: Suppliers and customers.

Experience & Qualifications:

Fully qualified Maintenance Engineer (City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).

Electrical qualifications and experience essential.

Experience with turning, milling, and welding is a plus
-
FMCG manufacturing experience preferred.
