Acorn by Synergie are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at a well-established manufacturing company based in Henstridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HSE professional who is passionate about creating and maintaining a safe working environment across multiple sites. You will play a key role in ensuring consistent compliance with health and safety legislation and supporting a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Health and Safety Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a consistent approach to health and safety standards across all sites.
  • Keeping up to date with all relevant HSE legislation and implementing any required changes.
  • Reviewing and updating company health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Conducting HSE inductions for new staff and delivering toolbox talks and training plans for current employees.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify risks and implement preventative actions.
  • Collaborating with site managers and supervisors to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Developing and managing safety initiatives and programs across the business.
  • Providing advice and support to employees on all health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Keeping accurate records of all incidents, investigations, and HSE interventions.
  • Liaising with external regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • A strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation and how to apply it in practical settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH or similar) are highly desirable.
