Ready to play a key role in delivering Gold Standard hygiene and food safety? I'm on the lookout for a Hygiene Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and has the leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and compliance across the site.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead and motivate a team of Hygiene Operatives, setting clear standards and driving accountability for cleanliness and food safety.
* Manage site hygiene systems and schedules, including deep cleans, allergen controls, tank cleans, and pest control, ensuring full compliance with BRC and retailer standards.
* Conduct and contribute to internal audits, COSHH reviews, and CIC card evaluations, helping the site maintain Grade A* certification and regulatory excellence.
* Collaborate with Production, Technical, and Training teams to create, review, and implement best-practice SOPs.
* Monitor, report, and trend hygiene KPIs to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction while maintaining product integrity.
* Own hygiene-related customer interactions, including visits, audits, and follow-ups, confidently representing the site to major stakeholders.
* Take responsibility for hygiene consumables, budgets, and stock levels, while improving plant availability and cleaning efficiency.
* Use your leadership and training experience to coach your team, promote high hygiene standards, and escalate risks when necessary.
What you'll need:
* Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) & Compliance within food manufacturing.
* HACCP Level 3
* Level 3 Food Hygiene
* Highly organised with time management
* Influence and communicate.
* Knowledge of customer codes of practice and hygiene standards
* Ability to manage people, quality or health and safety issues and confident to escalate these issues when required.
