We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Processor to join a busy fabrication and manufacturing team. This role plays a key part in supporting the production of precision-engineered materials handling equipment, working across both internal departments and with external subcontract clients.
You will work closely with the production, transport, and sales teams to process orders accurately, generate quotes, and support seamless workflow throughout the business. The environment is fast-paced, requiring a strong focus on detail, communication, and organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately process orders and create detailed job packs using order processing and quoting software.

Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure correct order entry and manufacturing instructions.

Coordinate daily transport bookings following production planning meetings.

Liaise with internal teams and external clients to ensure clear communication on orders, delivery schedules, and requirements.

Support factory operations through efficient order management and proactive collaboration.

Maintain a focus on quality and minimise errors across all order processing activities.

Assist in the preparation of quotes for laser cutting, pressing, and fabrication work.

Help drive process improvements and contribute to positive client experiences.

Manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.
Skills & Experience

Comfortable working with order processing and quoting systems (training provided).

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines efficiently.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in completing work to a high standard.

Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Previous experience in order processing, administration, or sales support within a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable but not essential.
