Job Purpose.

The Driver will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection and delivery of materials and finished products for our clients laser operation. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities.

The duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out multi-drop collections and deliveries in line with customer and company requirements.
  • Safely loading, unloading, and securing vehicles to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Accurately reading, checking, and managing delivery and collection paperwork.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues, clients, and management to support smooth operations.
  • Maximising output and minimising errors, while prioritising safety and quality at all times.
  • Actively contributing to daily transport and operations planning, including liaising with factory personnel.
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks, ensuring compliance with all road traffic and legal requirements.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a professional Driving role.
  • Knowledge of vehicle checks and basic maintenance responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety in a logistics/manufacturing environment.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues, clients, and management.
  • Ability to read and interpret delivery paperwork accurately.
  • A reliable, proactive, and flexible approach to work.

Qualifications.

Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
