Aspire People are working with a specialist with Shifnal, Shropshire to recruit confident and experienced Teaching Assistants to support with creating inclusive environment for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
* Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive self-esteem.
* Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils.
* Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to reviews.
Essential Criteria:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
* Patient, understanding and adaptability.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
Desirable Criteria:
* Previous experience in a specialist setting or similar role.
* Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or special educational needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices.
