Fitter - Double Days

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineeringdepartment with the appointment of a Fitter.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire,the Fitterwill be responsible for:

  • Assemble and fit mechanical parts and machined components, following engineering drawings and CAD detail
  • Assemble and fit pneumatic and controls/sensor systems to assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components
  • Install and integrate assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components
  • Support installation of full assembly cellsduring commissioning phases and also at customer when required
  • Installation: Interpreting drawings and CAD data to support fitting of robots, guarding, fixtures, services cabinets and trunking. Including laying where applicable communications and pneumatic/electrical cabling
  • Support when required fitting activities including dis-assembly and re-assembly of pipework and steels
  • Participate in training sessions and development programs as and when required
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship or NVQ/City & Guilds and proven experience in a similar role.
