Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in Shipley as they look to recruit a Finance Apprentice into their team.They are looking for someone who is keen to kickstart their career in finance and has a desire to learn and grow within the role.Responsibilities:

  • Support the month-end close process by reviewing and posting journals, with future growth into more complex entries and business reviews.
  • Prepare specific balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and investigating discrepancies.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, resolving any unreconciled items.
  • Reconcile and process credit card transactions and employee expenses.
  • Manage purchase ledger tasks, including processing supplier invoices, setting up new supplier accounts, and working with the purchase ledger team to ensure timely and accurate records of POs, invoices, and payments.
  • Assist with credit control by setting up client accounts and coordinating with the credit control team for accurate month-end processing.
  • Maintain cash books by posting daily receipts, allocating high-volume transactions, processing weekly refunds and SLA payments, and resolving unreconciled items.

Person Specification
