A leading manufacturer of precision-engineered components is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join its engineering team at the head office in Shipley. Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret 3D models and generate CNC part programs using CAM systems

  • Create, simulate, and validate CNC programs using post processors and prove-out tools

  • Use software such as Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth to ensure programs are production-ready

  • Prepare setup sheets and documentation for production teams

  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve tooling, processes, and overall machining efficiency

  • Maintain safe working practices in line with machine safety standards

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in offline and online CNC programming

  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and setup practices

  • Experience using 3D CAD/CAM software and simulation tools

  • Competent in using Siemens NX or similar CAM platforms

  • Familiarity with software including Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth

  • Solid understanding of CNC machine safety standards

  • Formal qualification in mechanical engineering (minimum Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
