About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring RE Teacher to join the Humanities Department at the School in Shipley, starting this May. This part-time position (2 days per week - Tuesdays and Thursdays) is ideal for someone passionate about teaching Religious Education to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. You'll be expected to deliver engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons that stimulate ethical thinking, philosophical discussion, and a deep understanding of world religions.

Position Description
Location: Shipley
Contract: Part-time role (Tuesday and Thursday)
Pay rate: £150 - £251.71 (UPS Rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements
- QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Right to work in the UK
- Understanding of national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Responsibilities
- Deliver RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create lesson plans that challenge and engage students
- Promote open discussion, critical thinking, and respect for different beliefs
- Set, mark and assess classwork and homework
- Track and report on student progress
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Liaise with the Humanities team on cross-curricular planning
- Contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives
- Prepare students for RE assessments and exams
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and report concerns appropriately
