Join a private household as a full-time Live-in Carer / Housekeeper, where you will be responsible for providing personal care and support, as well as managing household tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in personal care and housekeeping, who is committed to ensuring the comfort and well-being of the family.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Personal Care:

    • Assist with all aspects of personal care including dressing, washing, and bathing.
    • Manage catheter care and medication administration.
    • Support with mobility and care aids.
  • Cooking and Meal Preparation:

    • Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
    • Handle grocery shopping and maintain an inventory of household supplies.
    • Clean up after meals and ensure the kitchen is tidy.
  • Errands and Household Management:

    • Run errands such as grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and managing household needs.
    • Ensure household supplies are restocked.
    • Manage collection of medications and drive to community activities and appointments.
    • Driving the family members to appointments and accessing the community
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:

    • Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising.
    • Undertake deep cleaning tasks as needed.
    • Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Laundry and Linen Care:

    • Manage washing, drying, ironing, and folding of clothes and linens.
    • Change bed linens and make beds.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in person-centred care and support, with qualifications at least to level 2/3 in health and care.
  • Experience in cooking and meal preparation with hygiene and food preparation certificates preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role, ideally with a background in hospitality.
  • Full clean driver's licence; access to a car or willingness to use the family vehicle.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, with a respectful attitude towards privacy.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
