A privately owned and highly successful business based in Shoreham is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team. This organisation has experienced 70% revenue growth in the past 12 months and has a very bright future on the horizon. This new role reports directly to a qualified Finance Manager as part of a 3 person team. It’s a broad, varied role covering all aspects of bookkeeping and accounts admin. My client is happy to train more junior professionals if they can show drive, determination, and good common sense. This role is planned to be the succession for the Finance Manager role longer term and offers full study support (AAT, ACCA, CIMA etc).
The role would suit an active studier, or someone looking to start studying, who has a level of existing accounts experience such as an existing Accounts Assistant, Credit Controller, or Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger Clerk. They’re looking for a driven self-starter who will slot into their sociable, friendly team with ease and stay long term. The position itself includes duties that range in complexity so this needs to be someone who is happy with some more administrative / data entry tasks.

- Purchase ledger management
- Sales ledger management
- Processing invoices
- Supplier payments
- Aged debtors
- Credit control
- Bank reconciliations
- Expenses
- Assistance with month and year end tasks
- General accounts admin and auditing of data
