12-month contract - possible to extend for the right person!

PART TIME: 18 hours a week, worked over 3 weekdays between 07.30-16.00

Up to £15.95 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £21.65 (depending on experience)

We are looking for an Administrator to join our client’s Customs team in Peterlee working part time (18 hours over 3 weekdays), they are an industry leader, and world-renowned Fortune 100 company who manufacture articulated trucks and off highway machinery, which is imported and exported worldwide!

What would the Customs Administrator do?

  • Data entry on Spreadsheets, Duty management system and other Software
  • Import/Export Compliance, Day To Day activities and Clearance Instructions
  • Reviewing Customs documentation
  • HMRC compliance
  • Data management for commodity codes


What experience will the Customs Administrator need?

  • Previous Administration experience and meticulous accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work and communicate with other departments, and external third parties
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style
  • Problem resolution experience, and put processes in place to stop issues recurring
  • The ability to work in an organised, planned manner and manage multiple priorities
  • PC literate: used to using Microsoft Office 365 packages
  • Customs/Import/Export experience would be an advantage
  • SAP, Ricardo, CDS or any duty management system experience would be beneficial.
