Opus People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Shropshire Council for a dedicated School Transport Administrative support our efforts in providing efficient and effective transport solutions for students across Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities:

As a School Transport Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our operations, including:

Assisting in determining eligibility for free school transport for Shropshire pupils and students in post-16 establishments.

Supporting the allocation of pupils and students to the transport network, ensuring efficient procurement of transport services where necessary.

Maintaining accurate electronic records of operators, drivers, and passenger assistants.

Processing application forms in accordance with Council policies related to school and post-16 transport.

Responding to inquiries from parents, schools, and transport operators in a timely and professional manner.

Providing administrative support for safeguarding investigations and managing transport provision, including statutory and discretionary transport services.

Collaborating with team members to monitor and operate various transport schemes, including the Temporary Seats Payment Scheme.

Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the School Transport Contracts Coordinator, who will oversee your health and safety, training, and development.
