On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter on an initial 6-month contract. The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.

Role: Aircraft Mechanical Fitter
Pay: 28.16 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Shawbury
Contract: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 - 40 hours per week,6-month contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS, will require SC Clearnce

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
  • Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
  • Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
  • Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.


Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
  • Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
  • Must have up to date knowledge of :
  • Flight/Airport Operations
  • Aircraft Line Maintenance
  • Aircraft Base Maintenance.
  • Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
  • Experience of Base Maintenance.
  • Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
  • Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
  • Experience on H135/H145.
  • Experience of Airbus Helicopters products.
  • Experience of Military Aviation.
